It Happens at the Coffee Bean! Funny or Die mini-musical (comedy) Music by MoonLab Music! Hooray!
It all comes back to music…
How do I know this?
I have always been a musician and a songwriter, and it came easy to me. I wrote songs for film and television. I toured as a musician/singer for a time with Roger Daltrey and others. I was gaining momentum as a songwriter and composer. Then opportunities opened up on the other side of the industry, and my ability to also grasp the business and legal component to production sent me climbing up the corporate ladder in a more traditional way. But earning six figures as a music executive couldn’t satisfy my need to be the one actually making the music.
Fortunately, with my experience on both sides, it became clear how important it is for composers to be diverse both in their knowledge and in the execution of their art.
So when it came time for me to go off on my own and leave the corporate world of bosses and board meetings behind, I knew that I would have to be more than a film composer. More than a songwriter for TV main titles. More than a music supervisor or music clearance consultant. I would instead create a hub where all these components intersect. A hub for cross-pollination of ideas, information, and expertise. A place where my diverse knowledge and experience in all aspects of the music industry and in all forms of media could synthesize into concrete applications, allowing me to provide music services and artistry in a world where how we hear, create, and use music is constantly changing.
So I created MoonLab Music.
MoonLab works with some of the most talented and hardest working composers in entertainment today. Visit us at www.moonlabmusic.com.
